As a professional stroke neurologist, I found this book to be a useful compilation of the latest developments in the field of stroke. This is multiauthor book with emphasis given to "local" issues. The authors have done a commendable job to review the latest evidence for their recommendations.
The book covers epidemiology with emphasis on original work of one of the lead authors, bedside clinical examination, an exhaustive chapter on differential diagnosis with emphasis on neuroimaging, acute medical management, interventional management of acute ischemic stroke, role of stroke unit care in our setup, secondary prevention of stroke and an excellent chapter on rehabilitation. The figures are well drawn and illustrations are appropriate and well selected.
In the era of information overload, this book will serve a useful purpose for physicians and postgraduate students who are involved in taking care of patients with stroke.
